Mudgee Indoor Swimming Club’s Alyisha Beckingham has returned some amazing results after swimming at the 2014 Australian Age Championships this week.
At the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre on Wednesday, Beckingham narrowly missed out on the final of the girls 17-18 years 200-metre breaststroke after finishing 19th in the preliminary races. The top 10 made it into the final.
Beckingham clocked a time of two minutes, 46 seconds and 33 hundredths of a second. This missed the final by two seconds and had she swam her personal best, she would have finished 12th.
In her 100-metre breaststroke event on Monday, Beckingham finished 29th in the preliminaries. She swam a time of 1.17.67 and was about three seconds off making the final.
