National Police Service medal is awarded by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Police Commissioner in recognition of a special status a police officer has achieved in their work for the community.
NSW Police Force Assistant Commissioner Geoff McKechnie presented the awards, as well as Certificates of Commendation and Certificates of Merit for specific action in roles including drug busts, recovering stolen goods and tactical responses in stances when police or residents were endangered.
