Old examples of varietals that originally put Mudgee on the map were dusted off and tasted alongside food from Rachel McCarthy, David Cox and Kim Currie.
The annual Heroes and Icons award was presented to Ian McRae from Miramar Wines.
Guests travelled from across the state and even from overseas to acknowledge Mudgee’s winemakers.
