Duddy collected his fourth win from five rounds on Saturday and only one rider remains in touch to have any chance of overcoming the leader.
Finishing third on Saturday has kept Tom Adams with a mathematical chance of snatching the championship if results go his way in the final rounds.
There will also be a race on for minor placings in the Amateur All Powers as Luke Power finished second at the weekend and come within points of the now third placed Clint Faulkner.
Shane Cox now holds an eight-point lead in the All Powers club championship with his second win of the 2014 season on Saturday.
Round five racing at the Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC) saw Cox take back-to-back wins in the All Powers class. He is now eight points clear of nearest rival Matt Keipert who finished second to Cox on Saturday. Jody Dray placed third and keeps his hopes of a minor placing alive.
In the women’s All Powers event it was Alisha Barrett who took the honours on Saturday, riding at Mudgee for the first time in 2014. She was followed by Sharni Channing and competition leader Carly Wren.
Among the over 35s All Powers class, Jason Redding again proved too powerful and he too has all but wrapped up the championship. He finished ahead of Nathan Cover and Brendan Tickner on Saturday.
Redding had to settle for third in the A-grade opens behind Cox and Keipert and the result has left the competition wide open.
Cover had better success in the B-grade opens, finishing ahead of Power and Adams.
In the A-grade lites (125cc), Josef Pabis kept his consistent season and competition lead on track by winning his first race for 2014 on Saturday. He beat the formidable Redding and Travis Flack for the round five spoils.
Pabis also collected a win in the under 19s lites, keeping his narrow lead in the club championship in tact. He was followed by Ben Endacott and Barrett.
The B-grade lites was also taken out by Duddy with Power and Tim Babbage hot on his heels. Again this competition is still fairly open although Duddy will be hard pressed to be beaten.
