The evening brought together around 120 guests to celebrate the best of the district’s wines.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Champion Wine of the Show, the Robert Stein 2014 Reserve Riesling, which was also named Best White Wine (Not Chardonnay or Semillon) and Most Outstanding White Wine of the Show. Robert Stein Wines also took home the trophy for most successful exhibitor.
The Most Outstanding Red Wine of the Show and Best Cabernet was Quilty Running Stitch 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Most Outstanding Sweet Wine of the Show was Burnbrae 2013 Botrytis Semillon. Burnbrae also won the trophy for Best Chardonnay.
Other successful wineries were Bunnamagoo, which won the Best Museum White Wine Trophy and Best Semillon. Lowe Wines won the Gil Wahlquist Perpetrual Trophy for best Organic/Biodynamic/Preservative Free wine.
