The premier league’s player-coach won the inaugural Club Player of the Year at the Mudgee Dragons’ presentation night at Club Mudgee on Saturday.
Afamasaga had a stellar season for the red V, which saw him represent Group 10 and Western Rams, and get selected for the NSW Country Bulls team.
He played a starring role in the Dragons’ 10 consecutive victories, which helped to win the competition’s top award last month.
However, his season came to an abrupt end against Oberon where he fractured his fibula.
In other club awards, Keith McLean and Carol Doherty were joint winners of the Club Person of the Year award, and Russell Moriarty and Billy Roberts were Supporters of the Year.
