Stefano De-Angelis of Lions Drive, Mudgee, was stopped by police when he was driving along the Castlereagh Highway south of Mudgee at about 11.50am on Thursday, May 7, 2015.
When asked for his licence he admitted that he didn’t have one and that he was “getting it sorted from last time you stopped me”.
De-Angelis was referring to Thursday, February 19, 2015, when he received an infringement notice also for the same offence.
He said he was driving for work and handed over an old licence.
Police checked his details in their in-car computer which revealed that the licence had not been renewed since 2008 and that their was a Field Court Attendance Notice for De-Angelis for the February incident.
