The Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club’s annual trek took off from AREC on Saturday making its way to Cooyal.
The second day took the convoy across to Gulgong and returning to AREC via Bunnamagoo Wines.
Twenty-nine club members took part in the trek that included four 4WD support vehicles to the Australian made 1950s Chamberlain tractors.
“We choose a new route each year, somewhere off the beaten track, at some parts we go through private property,” said Robert Allen, the club’s event organiser.
“We’re a 60 member strong club established in 1996, with an interest in either trucks, tractors or stationary engines.”
Although a final amount was not known at the time of print, this year’s event raised funds in support of Hugh Bateman’s Tractor Trek.
Mr Bateman will take his specially painted pink Massey Ferguson on a 2600 kilometre round trip to raise $250,000 for the McGrath Foundation.
During next year’s October Long Weekend, the club will host a ‘Festival of Yesteryear’ at AREC with antique machinery from around the region.
The Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club holds its meets on the first Monday of each month at the Presbyterian Church Hall in Mudgee from 7.30pm.
