The stretch between the Henry Lawson Memorial, the wineries and the town of Mudgee is a major route for tourists visiting our region.
The amount of litter along this route is an embarrassment! There are tonnes of beer cans and bottles, soft drink cans and bottles, fast food containers, disposable nappies ( not sure they are to be disposed of this way), cigarette butts and assorted other rubbish.
One wonders if the people who drive this route have rubbish bins in their cars, home or work area. It would appear not!
Can we ask the council to have a clean up, and then ask that drivers hold on to their rubbish until they get to home or work?
We want visitors to be impressed not appalled!
