Current councillors Percy Thompson, Esme Martens, Peter Shelley and deputy mayor Paul Cavalier have nominated while Lucy White, John Weatherly and Max Walker were absent from the list.
Thirty-four candidates will appear on the Mid-Western Regional Council election ballot that was drawn in Lithgow on Wednesday.
Current councillor Percy Thompson’s running group will appear first on the ballot from five groups.
Among the ungrouped candidates Rodney Pryor will appear first on the ballot followed by Des Kennedy who is serving his sixth year as the region’s mayor.
