Chocolates purchased from the Gulgong Netball Club will help fund trophies for all players in this year’s competition.

Gulgong Netball Club will be satisfying the town’s sweet tooth over the coming weeks.

The group will embarks on this major fundraiser to purchase trophies for all this year’s competitors.

The players and parents are selling chocolates around town to ensure every team member has their efforts recognised with a trophy.

The chocolates started selling on Wednesday, and can be purchased from any member of the club, or by contacting the Gulgong Netball Club Facebook page.

Parent Renee McWhirter said this was the club’s first fundraising effort since it was restarted a few years ago.

Although Gulgong Netball Club is a small organisation, it has more than 60 players representing the club in the local competition.

The players range from under 8s to 13 year olds.
