The team featured Nicole Hill, Grace Halstead, Rach Hogden, Cameron Hill, Clancy Knight and Tom Trisley, all from the Gulgong Club.
And they didn’t disappoint coming home winners of the Senior Mixed Grade defeating Central West 1 in a well fought match.
The Western Districts were runners up to Hunter Valley in the Sub Junior Open A grade final.
The Champion Mixed Horse Award went to ‘Halsteads Manalito’ ridden by Tommy Trisley.
The Best No 1 Horse Award went to ‘Halsteads Maybelline’ owned by Grace Halstead and Best No 3 Horse Award went to ‘Retreat Mac’ owned by Nicole Hill.
Mendooran hosted their annual carnival on August 20-21, the Gulgong club took several teams all eager to play one of the last carnivals of the season.
The Gulgong Juniors beat Guyra 2 in the F Grade Open competition and the B Grade Mixed Competition won by Gulgong 1 over Cassilis.
The Best Horse and Rider Combination Award went to James Mulligan.
The Gulgong club will travel to Quambone on September 3-4 and will finish the season in Dunedoo on September 10-11.
