Rylstone and District Historical Society invites you to celebrate History Week “Neighbours” on Saturday, September 10 (local government election day) with a Trash and Treasure Fair in the grounds of the Cottage Museum.
Book now to hire a stall and sell your unwanted goods, bric-a-brac or craft items or just come along and browse. While you’re there enjoy morning tea and a sausage sizzle run by local community groups.
It’ll be an interesting day with a photo display, featuring old photographs of the people and the area of Rylstone. Come and find a familiar face or help name unknown faces. For more information or to book a site, phone Anne on 0457 478 784.
Memorial Craft Day at Ilford Hall
A Memorial Craft Day to commemorate the late Margaret Moore’s involvement in the local community will be held tomorrow, Wednesday August 31 from 10am to 3pm. There’ll be interesting craft stalls.
Lunch and refreshments will be available for a donation and a plaque will be hung in the hall to commemorate Mrs Moore’s involvement in the community. Please come along. Everyone is welcome. All proceeds will go to the Ilford Hall.
Neighbourly barbecue
A community barbecue will be held at the Running Stream Hall on Saturday, September 10 at 5pm. Come along and have a chat, catch up with the neighbours and enjoy a sausage sizzle by gold coin donation.
Please bring a plate of cake or slices for supper to share. Live music with the Bushrock Band and organisers are looking forward to seeing you there. Call Chris Reeves on 6358 8285 or Rod Lord on 6358 8203.
