The “Dusty Swags to Chequered Flags” Queensland Variety Bash will make an overnight stop in Mudgee this Sunday, October 2.

Twenty seven years since if first began in Queensland, the 2016 Variety Bash will begin in Warwick, Queensland and travel through 3000km through towns including Moree, Gunnedah, Mudgee, Lake Burrendong and Narrandera, arriving at Mount Panorama in Bathurst in time for the Bathurst 1000,
Eight-four cars will take part in the 10-day trek to raise money for sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.
They will be accompanied by 34 official vehicles and 13 auxiliary workshop vehicles, a total of 131 vehicles in all.
Along the way the “Bashers” will be visiting schools to provide equipment to disadvantaged children.
Across Australia, the Variety Bash has raised $200 million in the past 31 years.
