David Goldring of The Property Shop won the Young Agent Award, presented at a gala dinner in Sydney recently.
Mr Goldring was also a finalist in the Rural Marketer of the Year category of the awards.
“I’m proud that Mudgee as a regional centre can beat the whole of NSW and Sydney,” Mr Goldring said.
“The fact that little Mudgee can beat Sydney makes us proud of how solid and strong our market is.”
Alyse Pilley of The Property Shop was also a finalist in the Young Agent category of the awards.
At the same event, Property Shop director Hugh Bateman received the community service award in recognition of his 2015 Pink Tractor Trek, which raised $380,000 for the McGrath Foundation.
Mr Bateman drew on his extensive network of contacts in the real estate industry as he traveled around the state raising funds for breast care nurses in rural and regional areas.
Property Shop director Andrew Palmer said he was very proud of the recognition for The Property Shop and the achievements of Mr Goldring and Ms Pilley
Mr Goldring has been employed at The Property Shop for two years and Ms Pilley for 18 months.
“To win the Young Agent award against the whole of NSW is an outstanding reflection of the dedication David and Alyse have to their work,” Mr Palmer said.
REINSW President John Cunningham said 21 awards were presented across all facets of the industry including innovation, community service, residential and commercial professionals, as well as rising stars and auctioneers.
“Our prestigious awards have been taken out by some of the most dynamic real estate professionals in the industry and are a true celebration of excellence,” Mr Cunningham said.
“The broad range of skills highlights what it takes to be successful in what is a fast paced and competitive industry.”
