Mudgee food lovers rejoice, we now have a new foodie haven.
Dad’s Deli has just opened it’s doors in Town Hall Arcade laneway after an extensive renovation of the shop which was previously Mudgee Sewing Centre.
The deli which is filled to the brim with local, national and international produce, is set to tantalize the taste buds with gourmet items.
Phillip Moog and his wife Annabelle have had a love affair with Mudgee for the last few years, deciding to relocate here from the Hawkesbury region.
“We sold a Civil Contracting business at the start of the year and decided to have a tree change to Mudgee.
“We’ve always loved good food and have dreamed of owning a deli.” Mr Moog said.
First day in the new deli and it was a family affair with the couple joined behind the counter by their daughter Jessica, who’s studying in Newcastle.
Dad’s deli has a strong focus on local produce and already stock items like Mudgee Fudge, Linda’s Sweet Chilli Relish, Mudgee Smokehouse Ham and John’s Sourdough.
“We do have international products but have tried to source as much high quality local produce as possible.”
Any local producers that feel their products would suit in Dad’s Deli are encouraged to contact Phillip and Annabelle.
For everyone else, support local and pop in for a coffee and freshly made sandwich next time you’re in town.
