Raechel and Bill have been friends for more than two decades, having met when she and her family were performing in their family band, ‘The Lees’.
When Raechel decided to make a solo album, Bill Chambers was the natural choice for producer.
The result was a four-track EP, titled “Outlaw”, that Raechel released in June 2016.
After completing the recording Bill suggested they do some shows together and Raechel jumped at the opportunity to go on the road with the acclaimed artist, who has won multiple Golden Guitar and ARIA awards.
“Bill has always been an inspiration to me,” Raechel said.
“He was the reason that my family and I began playing music and I have always looked up to him as an artist and songwriter.
“To go on the road with him is a dream come true,” she said.
Raechel and her family moved to Parkes in 2005 after spending more than five years touring around Australia playing music in their family band, ‘The Lees’.
In 2010, Raechel married Parkes local boy Ben Whitchurch and a year later they relocated to Sydney to pursue opportunities to work in the music industry.
The move opened up many doors for Raechel and her music including the chance to perform with artists such as Ruby Boots and Ian Moss.
Kasey Chambers also features as a guest vocalist on her album, which will be available to purchase at the concert.
Bill Chambers will be playing songs from his new album, ‘Cold Trail’, for the first time in the Central West, after recently finishing a tour with Bernard Fanning and Bill’s daughter, Kasey Chambers.
The long-awaited ‘Cold Trail’ is Bill’s first studio album in four years.
