The announcement was made at the 2016-2017 state presentation, which was held at the Hilton Sydney on Saturday night.
Keightley was honoured along with Newcastle’s Rick McCosker and Sydney’s Syd Gregory.
She shot to prominence in 1998 when her 113 was the first century scored by a female player at Lord's.
The 45-year-old played nine tests for Australia national women’s cricket team, as well as 85 one day internationals.
She represented the national side for ten years between 1995 and 2005, and the New South Wales Women in the Women’s National Cricket League from 1996/97 to 2004/05.
The Mudgee local holds the record for the highest ever maiden ton in Women’s ODI history, as she smashed 156 against Pakistan in 1997 to put her name in the history books.
The right-hand batsman played 91 matches in the domestic league, collecting 3081 runs for a 37.12 average, with three centuries and 21 fifties in her haul.
Also a dangerous bowler, she took 10 wickets in her career at a 27.6 average.
In 2016 she helmed the Perth Scorchers’ second Women’s Big Bash League campaign, taking over from Mark Atkinson.
She guided them to a second place finish and a grand final berth against Sydney Sixes, where they fell just seven runs short of major silverware.
