Ten Mudgee women had their lives forever changed this morning when they received a call from NSW Lotteries informing them that they had won division one in last night’s draw, collectively sharing in a $1 million prize.

The private syndicate’s leader was elated when she discovered the group had chosen all six winning numbers on their 6-game marked Lotto entry, landing them a $1 million prize or $100,000 each.
“Oh sugar! Hold on one sec! I’m trying to rush, I’m so sorry,” the syndicate leader said when she answered the phone at work.
“Oh my god girls this is Lotto, I don’t know why they’re ringing yet, I’m hoping it’s our work one!,”
“So it’s one million dollars exactly! You don’t know how good that feels!
“Oh my god. There’s ten of us in it and we’ve won $1 million so we got $100 thousand each girls. That’s very exciting. We’re crying!
“We’ve been playing together for about six years and I buy our entry with the same numbers we take every week. Years ago we originally picked the numbers out together.
“It’s a blessing and it will be life-changing for all of us.”
A life-changing stroke of luck
The winning women aged in their 40s and 50s, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry from Mudgee Newsagency.
Angela Fittler, Manager at Mudgee Newsagency and was delighted to know that the windfall would be shared in the local area.
“That’s made my day to know the prize will be shared by so many Mudgee locals!” Ms Fittler said.
“Changing ten people’s lives in this town is just incredible.”
“And it comes less than five months after we sold a 1st Prize winning entry of $200,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot which made for an unforgettable Christmas for a Mudgee mum.
It was the only entry that won first division in Monday and Wednesday Lotto, which offers a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners in every draw.
The winning numbers in the Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw on Wednesday, April 26 were 40, 21, 5, 10, 3 and 19. The supplementary numbers were 32 and 9.
