THE PROPOSAL
A few years before this, I had actually picked out my ring as a joke with my best friend and had left the card with the product code and ring size in different places throughout the house as a hint.
But it took a few years after this for him to actually do it.
I had organised for us to go away in February for a few days to The Entrance as it was my birthday and our anniversary in February.
We went out to dinner on the February, 8 just to a local pub, nothing fancy at all.
When we were finished, we walked back to our suite along the beach, as we were walking, Blake grabbed my hand to stop me, but I kept pulling him and telling him to hurry up, it was freezing.
He asked me to shut up for five seconds and listen, and when I turned around, he was on one knee on the wet sand.
He said to me, "it has been a long time coming, but will you marry me?"
I was that excited and shocked; I forgot to answer and just jumped in his arms.
He then told me he didn't bring the ring with him because he was worried he would lose it while we were out for dinner or walking along the beach.
So I had to wait until we got back to our room to see it.
The rest is history!
THE LOCATION
The best part about marrying in the Mudgee region was being so close to home.
It's a beautiful region, especially all the wineries that are around.
We love the country theme, so getting married at Elephant Mountain was just perfect being only 15 mins from our home and on a property.
My husband grew up here, so being married locally was all he wished for.
