Wombat Andy Adams has agreed to have his chest, back and legs waxed by the team from Jungle Wax at the day if $1,000 can be raised before the day.
When Adams was asked to do it he was offered the choice of beneficiary – he said it had to be for the Black Dog Institute.
The not-for-profit organisation is a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illness including depression, bipolar disorder and suicide.
The passing of former Wallaby and Super Rugby star Dan Vickerman in February shocked the Rugby world.
Adams said it hit close to home for the Wombats as he played in the club’s Sevens tournament, Dan was also close personal friends with several members of the Wombat community.
First grade will play in special one-off jerseys promoting the Black Dog Institute, which will be auctioned off after the match for the organisation.
Ladies Day will be held from 12.30pm on Saturday, August 5, when the Wombats host the Dubbo Roos at Jubilee Oval.
It will feature canapes, entertainment, wine, beer and soft drink, along with raffles and lucky door prizes for paying guests.
Tickets are $15 online (trybooking.com) or $20 at the gate.
