Hale said he will be back in Forbes to play more often because the tournament was conducted was one of the best he’d been involved in.
And, in a cheeky addition, he added the friendly rivalry between John Betland and the Mudgee golfer was still going strong.
“It was a good feeling to win over John (Betland) on his home course. I will be talking to the 'boys' back home about bringing a bus load of players back for the classic in November,” he said
“This weekend has been good, and the presentation of the Forbes course was excellent, especially the greens. Really good, and I can't wait to play here again,” he added.
Hale finished with 65 stableford points for the 36 holes, winning by one from John Betland.
