Greg Jeans from Wallacia, Adam Favell of Wallerang and now Wallacia and Mudgee junior bowler Tom Rich gave a performance of faultless bowls to take out all who dared to challenged them and share in the $1800 first prize.
The class of team skipper Jeans, who is a pennants number 1 skipper in Sydney, was jaw dropping and he appears to be a young man with a big future in bowls in Australia.
Second for the weekend were local bowlers Garvin Dennis, Alan Clarke and Peter Farrell with four wins and one loss.
Third were local bowlers Paul Sharp, Jack Martin and Ray Sebire also with four wins.
Star Chem Triples nominations are already filling up for next years event, such was the popularity of this year’s tournament.
This Friday again sees the Mudgee men’s Bowling Club in conjunction with Club Mudgee, hosting another McGrath foundation Pink Up Mudgee event. All are welcome to get all pinked up and come along and have some fun while supporting a very serious cause. There will be prizes and giveaways donated by Club Mudgee and the cost of $20 per person will be donated to the Mcgrath Foundation, bring your own team of three or be placed into a team on the night. The event is a sequel to a successful Pink Up night earlier this month.
