Central and Western NSW week in pictures | Friday, November 3, 2017

Each week our journalists and photographers cover some great stories and take some amazing photos.

We collate the best of the best at the end of the week and add them into a weekly gallery so you can see what’s been happening right around the region.

Our cover photo this week comes from Cowra where tears appear to be staining the eyes of soldiers on a wartime monument to four Australian soldiers who died in the town during the Japanses POW breakout in 1944. The facade can be found on a brick wall in Squire Park.

If you have a cracking photo you would like to share with one of the Fairfax Regional mastheads in your area, please email lynn.rayner@fairfaxmedia.com.au to get in touch and let us know where your photo was taken.
