It was in 2015 when they won the division two (Bowl) title and the Mudcrabs have been hard at work over the last few months, hoping to strike gold again.
250 Teams from NSW, ACT, Japan and England will flock to the mid north coast for the monster, three-day event, spanning from December 1-3.
Mudgee holds the 23 seed for the event with their opponents slated to be Canterbury and Yamba.
Teams play two qualifying matches on Friday to determine Saturday’s rankings.
Squads who finish on top of their respective group advance to division one (Championship), second-placed teams in the group move to division two (Bowl) and third-placed teams in the group transfer to division three (Shield).
The Mudcrabs could play up to six games on Saturday.
