At some point on Tuesday night part of Liz Wadey’s home, including her fence, were spray-painted with tags and profanity-laden slogans.
Her neighbours’ fence, and those in nearby streets, were also targeted.
She said it’s not the first occasion she’s been a victim of what she’s called a “graffiti attack” and has “had hell since 2006”.
“I’ve just had enough, why has this gone on so long? It has to stop, it just can’t go on,” she said.
Furthermore, Ms Wadey said she’s concerned about the “F*** The Police” slogan used multiple times.
Not just because one faces her window, but it also appears on a fence clearly visible from the street. She worries about children in the vicinity due to the language and the disrespectful nature of the phrase.
Mudgee Police chief inspector, Jeff Boon, said, "we have zero tolerance for graffiti in Mudgee”.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call Mudgee Police or Crime Stoppers.
"We take graffiti very very seriously, we work with Mid-Western Regional Council to address graffiti. It's just not something that will be tolerated in this town.
"If you're going to clean the graffiti off - if it's on a car or fence - and you need to clean it off quickly, please photograph it first.
"We've had a couple of incidents at Lawson Park, the toilet block at the back of the swimming pool, and we're working very closely with Council to address that issue and bring the offenders to justice."
If you have any information on graffiti in the local area please contact Mudgee Police on (02) 6372 8599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
