Dragons’ league-tag coach Mal Goodman denied the option to single out star performers from Sunday’s Western Challenge, saying 2018 will be about the team.

“We won’t be relying on certain people to carry us,” she said.
“We have a number of talented ladies who are all eager to learn and advance their skills.”
Said skills evidently peaked on the weekend as the red and whites were only defeated by eventual winners and league tag titans Bathurst St Pat’s.
Mal Goodman’s troops have shown the same interest that has seen widespread improvement in men’s competition as training numbers have grown each week.
“So far, pre-season has been a success,” she said.
“Each week we have had big numbers showing up. The ladies have been very receptive to learning a new style of play.
“They have also been putting in a massive effort with their fitness.”
Goodman’s expectations for 2018? Improvement.
“Every player is feeling positive and motivated to change last year’s results and have a successful season.”
