She will be joined on the bill by The Angels, The Black Sorrows, Shannon Noll and Russell Morris.
Suzi is no stranger to Australia and said she is looking forward to return with RHST.
“I have been touring Australia since 1974 and have actually lost count of how many times I have been there,” she said.
“It is my second home and I love it dearly.
“Nobody in the world rocks has hard as the Aussies, and from me... that’s what they’re gonna get - foot on the gas and go!
“I’m so looking forward to this special summer tour.”
To date Suzi has sold over 55 million records and for a seven-year period in the 1970s she was featured in the British charts for 101 weeks.
Her hits include The Wild One, 48 Crash, Devil Gate Drive, She’s in Love with You and If You Can’t Give Me Love to name a few.
When it comes to summing up her decades of music, she said, “I will retire when I go onstage, shake my ass and there is silence”.
Also bring the rock to Parklands will be Aussie favourites, The Angels, who for almost four decades have been responsible for some of this country’s most anthemic tracks.
Fronted now by Dave Gleeson -of The Screaming Jets fame - The Angels recently released an album of new material.
Another icon of Australian music, Joe Camilleri, will be bringing his band The Black Sorrows to Mudgee to perform hits such as Harley & Rose and Chained to the Wheel.
Shannon Noll, whose achieved ten consecutive Top 10 singles in the charts across his eight years since his discovery on television talent show Australian Idol, also joins the party, along with “The Real Thing” Russell Morris, who has successfully reinvented himself as a bluesman with his latest album Sharkmouth comprised of roots-derived songs built on stories of Australian historical figures.
The Red Hot Summer Tour Mudgee concert will be held at Parklands Resort on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
