The sentence has followed The Angels since the mid-1980s when the single was first played live and it’ll be flung full force at The Angels lead singer Dave Gleeson when the Red Hot Summer Tour comes to Mudgee in February next year.
Featuring Suzi Quatro, The Angels, The Black Sorrows, Shannon Noll and Russell Morris, The Red Hot Summer Tour will be at way to Parklands Resort in February.
The Angels founder John Brewster is looking forward to getting back to Mudgee, where the band last played A Day On The Green in 2008.
While in Mudgee The Angels’ will celebrate 40 years as a band.
Brewster said the tour was a great excuse for the band to bring out their biggest hits from the last four decades.
“On a tour like this when everyone’s got some really big hits, we don’t really like to do a lot of new stuff. The tour will be all about old favourites and big hits,” he said. “Although, we might do our first single from our new album.”
The Parklands show will be eighth on the Red Hot Summer Tour line-up and Brewster said by then the band will be running on automatic pilot.
“With the number of years we’ve been performing together we’re a well oiled band and we still play every show by giving it all we’ve got,’ he said.
The Angels will be looking forward to taking to the same stage as rock legend Suzi Quatro.
“I don’t know Suzi and I’ve never seen her perform but I’m looking forward to working with her next year,” Brewster said.
“The show deserves to be a sell out because of the amazing people who are playing it.
“I mean Russell Morris is just a legend.”
