The day, which this year raised money for Mudgee Hospital and Pioneer House, was attended by a slew of high profile people including seven time surfing world champion Layne Beachley and her husband, INXS member Kirk Pengilly.
Ms Beachley said it was her first time attending the event, but Peter Sterling wouldn’t let her turn down the opportunity to support the Mudgee community.
The six person ambrose was followed by dinner and an action at the new clubhouse.
Co-organiser of the event Ken Sutcliffe, said the event has continued to gain popularity and golfers came from across the region to take part.
Mr Sutcliffe described the Golf Classic as a fun day that raises money and provides great exposure for the district.
