“What a great piece of providence and history is available in this delightfully crafted cedar witness box,” auctioneer Bruce McGregor of Raine & Horne said. “Think of the stories it could tell and the people who have graced its presence on both sides of the law before the judge in Mudgee over the years.”
Mr McGregor said the witness box was one of many collectable items Raine & Horne will be putting up for bids.
Other items include a 1927 Chevrolet truck, furniture, bric-a-brac and even some 50 old theatre seats.
The collectables will supplement a huge array of equipment, tools and machinery from the Gulgong Joinery which David Warner has operated for many years.
“Many district people will know David as real craftsman and all his plant equipment and tools are well maintained and presented and includes a full complement from a modern cabinet sliding saw bench to the timber workbench from the railway sheds in Eveleigh,” Mr McGregor said.
“This sale is a real opportunity to secure quality woodworking machinery, a big array of cabinetmaking lines, tools, materials and furniture.”
Inspection is from 9am and there is catering by MADS on site right on the edge of Gulgong.
