The tour coincides with the release of his 30/30 Anniversary album where Jimmy re-recorded 15 of his biggest hits as collaborations with some of his favourite artists.
He said that the Mudgee ADOTG line up - The Living End, Troy Cassar-Daley, Mahalia Barnes & The Soul Mates – appeared on the album so expect some live collaborations.
“All of those guys played on my 30/30 album, so we’ll all be getting together and doing those songs on stage, we’ll be making sure the audience is getting the best show they can possibly get,” he said.

“Doing the album was a great chance to revisit those songs and do them with my mates who have all brought something fresh to the track.
“The songs were really important to me anyway and now they’ve been given an extra layer which makes them even more special.
“So to get the opportunity, not only to record them, but to also come out and do them live with the people who recorded them with me is really great.”
A 30th anniversary needs a special celebration so these will be concerts with a difference.
Part of the show will feature the Jimmy Barnes Greatest Hits Spinning Wheel, made up of 30 classic Barnes tracks.
Throughout the performance the wheel will be spun deciding which song the band will then perform and thereby helping to create new sets at each performance.
“We’ve got the wheel because there’s a bunch of songs that I know I want to play, but there’s also ones that you don’t always get to play because you get used to doing the same songs live,” he said.
“So we’ll get a few songs out of the ordinary. It’s a fun way to do it, we’ll surprise the audience and it will keep the band on its toes.

Jimmy’s national tour began a couple of weeks ago but Mudgee will be the first of the A Day On The Green shows and he said that they’re all primed and ready for the local concert.
“The band is well and truly in its stride, we’re rocking, and we’ve been tearing the shows apart so we’re looking forward to Mudgee,” he said.
