“I can say that if you come back before court for methamphetamine again you can go to jail”.
At about 1.50pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, police were monitoring a Mudgee house suspected of drug activity and stopped Joyce’s car after he left the location.
A check of his identity revealed drug information and a search was conducted.
They found a resealable bag containing 0.22g of methamphetamine in the car and another bag containg 3.95g of cannabis on Joyce.
Magistrate Terry Lucas told the defendant that the time of morning that he was caught drink driving made it obvious he would be under the influence.
“You were driving at 2am on a Saturday morning, you may as well have sent up a flare,” he said.
And on the possession charges he added, “I can say that if you come back before court for methamphetamine again you can go to jail”.
