MEMBER for Dubbo Troy Grant has taken up the police and justice portfolio following a reshuffle of cabinet on Wednesday by the re-elected Baird Government.

Mr Grant also holds the position as Nationals Leader and Deputy Premier and will retain his arts and racing portfolios
Following his election victory on Saturday night Mr Grant said he would be cutting the number of ministries he would hold in the returning government.
Before the election Mr Grant had five ministries including Hospitality, Gaming and Racing, Arts, Trade and Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services and Tourism and Events
"I am proud of the work I did in every one of those, I brought about significant budgetary and policy outcomes."
Mr Grant said the new cabinet team will have a strong regional focus, with nine ministers representing regional communities.
"This is a cabinet that represents all communities across the state," Mr Grant said.
"These changes mean regional NSW now has individual ministers responsible for crime and safety, tertiary skills and aboriginal affairs while maintaining oversight of protecting our precious land and water resources.
"Regional NSW is back at the heart of government."
Mr Grant is a former police officer, twice decorated during his 22 year career.
Former police minister Stuart Ayres will become minister for trade and investment and retain the sport portfolio.
Three new faces were brought into the new cabinet with Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott, Cronulla MP Mark Speakman and Nationals MP Niall Blair given ministerial positions.
Mr Elliott has been appointed minister for Corrective Services, Emergency Services and Veterans affairs under a reshuffle to be announced by Mr Baird on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Speakman has been given Early Childhood education, Aboriginal Affairs and will also be assistant education minister.
Mr Blair will be appointed minister for primary industies, land and water.
The reshuffle will also see Transport minister Gladys Berejiklian appointed Treasurer and community services minister Gabrielle Upton take on Attorney-General.
Treasurer Andrew Constance moves to Transport and Infrastructure and Brad Hazzard moves from Attorney-General to Family and Community Services.
Pittwater MP Rob Stokes moves from environment to planning, while John Ajaka retains disability services.
It is understood Planning minister Pru Goward will be announced as the new minister for the prevention of domestic violence, while remaining minister for women. Ms Goward will also become assistant health minister and have responsibility for mental health and medical research.
Anthony Roberts becomes minister for Industry, Resources and Energy.
TAFE will be taken out of the education cluster and moved to Industry, Skills and regional development where Monaro MP John Barilaro will remain minister.
As foreshadowed, Wollondilly MP Jai Rowell has been dumped from cabinet.
Shelley Hancock was reappointed as Speaker as the Legislative Assembly and Don Harwin as President of the Legislative Council.
