Once again the community of Gulgong, along with many others from surrounding towns, has come together in support of the Gulgong Holtermann Museum.
The committee was pleasantly surprised by the number of tables at the Trivia Night last Saturday and was most grateful for the generous donations from local Gulgong businesses.
The prizes and auction items donated not only helped to raise funds but also created a fun filled evening.
The Gulgong Bowling Club sponsored the evening by providing the venue and the excellent help of their staff was very much appreciated.
Marcus McLennan of 'Mudgee Entertainment' kindly donated his time and expertise as trivia master for the evening which freed up our committee members to see to other tasks on the night.
We are fortunate to have Bruce McGregor of 'Go Gulgong Real Estate' on our committee so the auction was carried out professionally with loads of fun had by all.
The final question of the night ‘Who am I?’ was very relevant and a most appropriate way to end the evening.
The answer being Thomas Keneally, a distinguished Australian and author, who we are very proud to announce as our patron for the Gulgong Holtermann Museum.
The Gulgong Holtermann Museum Committee would like to thank everyone for their support and look forward to sharing the next step in our project to restore our two historic buildings, the Greatest Wonder of the World and the American Tobacco Warehouse and Fancy Goods Emporium.
