About 11.20pm on Friday, August 14, police and emergency services were called to Bylong Valley Way, Kandos, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers found a Toyota Hilux utility crashed into a tree.

The male driver sustained critical injuries and died at the scene. 

Officers from Mudgee Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
