Both teams started the game employing a short passing game to maintain possession and build pressure.
MTC were pushing into the attacking third and peppering the Andrews goal, but Bobby Nemeth was having another great game in goal and keeping his team in the game.
For Andrews, Jeremiah Palombini was displaying skill on the ball and ran hard as always, whilst Nic McLehose was putting up a good defensive effort for MTC.
Nick Seis was again strong on the ball and pushed the ball in for Andrews to take a 1-0 lead into half time.
In the second half Joel Smith was having some good touches on the left for Andrews, but Steve Morrison was showing desperation in defence.
MTC evened the scores when Katie Dicker picked up the rebound off a Ben Kerr strike and converted the goal.
MTC were again building pressure and creating opportunities on goal, but Andrews were matching them defensively.
Nick Seis broke the deadlock for Andrews late in the game with a solid strike on goal for a 2-1 lead which they never relinquished.
IC Cool played Macquarie Valley Juices in the second game of the day.
IC Cool jumped out of the blocks fast, showing good control in midfield to create opportunities for their attack.
Sean Lumsden opened the scoring for IC with a solid shot from the top of the circle to take a 1-0 lead.
Rachel Johnson made it 2-0 soon after when she showed good control to trap, shoot and beat the keeper.
IC were on a roll when Chooky Lumsden scored a third to close out the half and take a 3-0 lead into half time.
After the break MVJ were showing more resolve defensively, which lead to a greater share of possession.
Troy Whittington was working hard on the ball in attack for MVJ but was in need of support.
MVJ pulled one goal back to give them some hope, but IC put the result beyond doubt and scored again to make the final score 4-1.
