Rowena Lewis of Royston Petrie Seeds has invited members of the public to donate old or unwanted bras, which are being hung on the fence outside the Industrial Avenue premises.
At the end of the month, the bras will be counted and a donation will be made to the McGrath Foundation, according to the number of bras received.
Mrs Lewis said more bras are being delivered each day – and some shyer member of the community are adding their donations at night.
A few men’s singlets have also been hung on the fence, recognising that breast cancer can affect men as well as women.
Word of the fundraiser has spread through the seed industry around Australia and even as far as Holland and America.
Every person who delivers a bra to Royston Petrie Seeds at 11b Industrial Avenue will receive a packet of seeds to grow their own pink flowering plants.
Other groups joining “Pink Up Mudgee” this week have included The Samaritans, who held a High Tea on the Porch on Tuesday.
Rockmans Mudgee also hosted a “Pink Up Mudgee” morning tea on Wednesday.
TAFE Western Mudgee campus held a morning tea at the Student Hub, where the Groovy Booby Bus made a special guest appearance.

Harvey Norman Mudgee will be holding a “Pink Up Mudgee” day this Saturday, October 22, with money from a barbecue to be donated to the McGrath Foundation.
Tickets for the “Pink Up Mudgee” raffle, with a chance to win a Holden Barina Spark, will be available at Harvey Norman. Only 800 of 2000 tickets are still available.
“Pink Up Mudgee” continues throughout the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Money raised by participating businesses and organisations will help to fund McGrath Foundation breast care nurses in rural and regional Australia.
