Rylstone was painted pink on Friday with shops, cafés and people colouring up to raise money for breast cancer research via the Cancer Council and the McGrath Foundation.
The town got into the spirit with Foodworks manager Diane Kerney organised breakfasts at two café’s in town.
A percentage of each breakfast was donated to the cause by Recycled Rosy while Café on Louee made a cash donation at the end of the day. Other shops including the Anglicare shop decorated windows and hung pink streamers.
One unique decoration created, was a tree painted by Alisa Burlington in the window of her husband’s home brew shop.
Passers-by were invited to write the names of family or friends on leaves.
Some of the leaves had fallen and others were floating free.
