The idea is to create a stimulating and aesthetically pleasing environment for the students to enjoy their break times.
Along with the functional purpose of being able to use it for games and activities – such as the hopscotch court pictured.
The students were also the main drivers of the project, doing the majority of designing and painting as a way of creating a sense of belonging with the school environment.
They also had a great time redecorating the area.
To get the project running two team members from Bunnings Mudgee visited the High School to help out.
Bunnings provided all of the paint suppliers along with their time in order to put a smile on the students’ faces.
The team have another community project with the Gulgong RSL Sub-Branch at Anzac Park tomorrow, ahead of Remembrance Day.
