Since September, Coles Mudgee team members have hosted several fundraising activities, including monthly raffles for shoppers to win fresh fruit and vegetable platters, to raise awareness and funds for local groups.
Fundraising kicked off with a 32 kilometre charity bike ride from Gulgong to Mudgee in September, raising over $1,300 for the Wings For Kids initiative. Then, in October, the team raised another $1,200 for ‘Pink Up Mudgee’ in support of the McGrath Foundation by offering a trolley filled with pink products in a raffle.
In addition to this, $500 was raised for Mudgee Hospital Auxiliary, $200 for Life Skills and over $100 for Rylstone Aged Care - all thanks to raffles held in store. The latest fundraising activity contributed over $400 to build a new garden for the local Kanandrah Retirement Homes.
Coles Mudgee store manager Joshua McKinnon thanked customers for their generosity and team members for their efforts.
“We are humbled by the ongoing support our customers have shown each month. The Mudgee community is very important to us and we love the opportunity to provide a helping hand wherever we can,” he said.
“The total amount of donations that have been raised over the past few months by our shoppers and team members shows how well we can work together to make a real difference in our community.”
