Reading Cinemas Dubbo have received a number of requests on their Facebook page about when La La Land would be coming only to be told it would not be shown.
A comment on a popular Dubbo Facebook page about movies like La La Land and Collateral Beauty not being brought to the city also attracted plenty of attention.
The Daily Liberal contacted Reading Cinemas Dubbo to ask why the film wouldn’t be shown, and were referred to Reading head office in Melbourne. However as of Monday afternoon, Reading had not issued a response.
Orange’s Odeon 5 Cinemas is currently screening La La Land twice a day and Metro 5 in Bathurst is showing it three times a day.
Despite being one of the most talked about movies of the new year and being tipped for Oscars success, it is understood just two of 20 Reading Cinemas locations are showing La La Land.
