Before the student leaders took their pledge, principal Wayne Eade told them the school community is “very happy you’re prepared to put your hands up and make that extra effort”.
“Leadership is sometimes thrust on people and sometimes sought, in your case you sought it,” he said.
“You put your hands in the air and said you were going to be leaders, and that is praiseworthy.
