Helmed by Matt Consadine and Peter Mayson, the golf club is running a six man ambrose event to raise funds for Jason Seis and his family.
The charity drive comes after Jason, who is the golf course superintendent at the club, was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma.
Mantle cell lymphoma is a form of leukaemia that is incurable, but manageable with an aggressive treatment regime, which Jason has already begun to undertake.
As well as the golfing event, which is open to all, there will also be an evening of raffles, auctions and refreshments, with an aim to make the day a fun one in honour of a key figure in the golfing community.
The cost of entering a team into the competition is $200, covering the entire six-person squad.
Fees for the day are all going towards the support of Jason and his family while he goes through treatment courses for his illness.
As of March 27, $9,200 has already been raised for Jason on www.mycause.com, where donators from all over Mudgee have offered their support and well-wishes for the Seis family.
As well as supporting Jason through the golf charity day that is planned at the Golf Club or on the mycause website, support can also be shown through the Jason Seis AGCSA Support Page on Facebook, where you can click the ‘Contact Us’ button and speak to organisers.
To enter teams in to the charity day contact Peter Mayson on 02 6372 1811 or Matt on 0427 723 236.
To donate goods for the raffle or the afternoon auction contact Craig Wood of AGCSA on (03) 9548 8600 or 0436 007 782.
Muster is at 9am, Sunday.
