Luke Robert Hornery, aged 38, of Powells Road, Lue, was fined a total of $1800 and disqualified for 12 months for two counts of the offence.
He was detected driving with methamphetamine in his system in Douro Street on December 15, 2016, and again in Market Street on January 19, 2017.
In sentencing Magistrate Lucas told the defendant, “Mr Hornery I’ve got no idea where you get your methamphetamine, nor do I care, but take a look around – do you see them here today? It’s you who pays the price”.
Another six people were sentenced for the same offence and the same drug.
Simon Michael Blyton, aged 25, of Ancrum Street, Cassilis, was fined $900 and disqualified four months after he was detected in Mortimer Street, on December 31.
Robert William Harrison, aged 46, of Gladstone Street, was fined $900 and disqualified four months after he was stopped in Gladstone Street, on December 13.
Benjamin Luke Husband, aged 26, of Mortimer Street, was fined $900 and disqualified six months, after he was stopped in Gawthorne Place, on December 23.
Jade Rose Kapeen, aged 22, of Church Street, was fined $800 and disqualified three months for driving in Douro Street, on January 8.
Kelly Maree Marchant, aged 32, of Wyaldra Lane, Cooks Gap, was fined $900 and disqualified three months for driving in Mortimer Street on December 13.
Alisha Skye Wright, aged 26, of Cope Road, Cope, was fined $900 and disqualified three months after she was stopped in Douro Street on January 12.
