Forensic officers were called to investigate the discovery of a man’s body on Summer Street on Sunday night.
Police were called to the scene outside Heritage House between Clinton and Hill streets about 10.30pm.
At this stage neither the man’s identity or any details about how he died have been confirmed.
The road was blocked off for several hours and highway traffic was diverted to the Northern Distributor Road.
It is understood forensic officers from Dubbo were called to the scene to investigate the discovery of the body.
Station officer Brad Monico said NSW Fire and Rescue officers were called to the scene to assist police at 4.30am.
Summer Street was later re-opened.
More to come.
