This comes just days after the NSW Police released data showing Mudgee is the 7th highest in the state for drug-drivers.

Shortly after 10.00pm on Thursday, July 21 – Mudgee General Duties police stopped a blue Holden Commodore on the Castlereagh Highway between Mudgee and Gulgong, near the intersection of Springfield Lane.
The 21 year old Mudgee female underwent a Roadside Drug Test that gave a positive result. She was arrested and conveyed to Mudgee Police Station.
Earlier in the day, a 35-year old female tested positive on Ulan Road. She had two young school aged children in the car at the time. And a 31 year old man tested positive in Gulgong.
The Mudgee LAC have this warning, “It is quite simple really... if you use prohibited drugs, don't drive!!!”
“We will never know but the police last night may have saved her life or the lives of others. We can only hope that she changes her ways,” they continued.
“We would also like to share some information with you, every vehicle in the Mudgee LAC, from Baradine in the north to Kandos in the south has the equipment and ability to test drivers for driving with alcohol and / or drugs in their system.”
“You have a high chance of getting caught on our roads.”
Mudgee LAC is encouraging others to share information about people drink and / or drug driving.
