The program connects emerging young leaders (aged 16 – 23 years old) with community leaders as volunteer coaches over five months with one-on-one coaching, workshops and a focus on delivering community service projects to make a difference in the region.
It was created in partnership with industry association - Clubs NSW. Club Mudgee is the major sponsor of the region’s program.
Chelsea Butlin, a Year 10 student from Gulgong High, prepared a dance event at her local Aged Care residence as the culmination of her Max Potential program.
Chelsea’s community service project was one that gives back to the community by visiting and performing for the residents of Wenonah Lodge Residential and Community Care in Gulgong.
Tim Rava’s from Mudgee High focussed his community service project on ‘getting people outside, off their gadgets and enjoying outside more’ by organising a mini cricket coaching session which will be on August 4 at Victoria Park.
“This program has taught me that I will always have somewhere to go and there’s always room for improvement,” he said.
