I have been surveying the community on their opinion on the bill since the August 10.
Since then I have had just under a thousand responses from across the electorate with 54.5 per cent in favour, 40.5 per cent against and 5.1 per cent undecided.
As the bill is being introduced in parliament the survey will be closed on Friday, September 22 at 5pm.
I encourage everyone who hasn’t completed a survey to do so to ensure your voice is heard and taken into account when I vote on the bill later this session of parliament.

BONDANGORA WAR MEMORIAL
New funding of $175,000 is now available to help communities protect and repair local war memorials and to support projects which commemorate the service of current and former NSW service men and women.
I called for applications in the latest round of the Community War Memorials Fund (CWMF) and the Anzac Community Grants Program (ACGP).
The CWMF provides grants of up to $10,000 for local war memorial projects, including conservation works and protection. There are two rounds a year each offering $125,000, closing on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
In the latest round, funding supported work at the Bodangora War Memorial near Wellington in our Dubbo Electorate.
I am proud of the NSW Government’s investment in local and state war memorials, which help ensures that the service and sacrifice they represent can be understood.

AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN NSW
Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Social Housing Pru Goward announced that the Government had now committed to a target of 3400 new social and affordable dwellings through the Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF), following 2200 announced in March.
There will now be the opportunity for more social and affordable housing in the Dubbo Electorate and hoped that local providers would look for opportunities to participate.
This second phase of the SAHF will deliver more high-quality homes to those who need them most.
It will also provide tailored support coordination to ensure residents are close to transport, schools, jobs and other essential services so they can be involved in their communities and live more independent lives.
I encourage community housing providers, not for profit organisations, and commercial organisations in the Dubbo Electorate to look for opportunities to participate in the second phase of the SAHF.
The service packages include access to accommodation, asset and tenancy management services, and links to support services.
The NSW Government established the $1.1 billion Social and Affordable Housing Fund using seed capital invested in the Government’s investment arm, NSW Treasury Corporation.
Tenants began moving into houses funded by phase one in May this year.
The Government will begin market sounding to engage with community housing providers, not for profit and commercial organisations in October.
