The day alone raised $10,691.20 on the back of the three road donation stations, and the whole host of activities at the fete and concert back at the school.
The 2017 beneficiaries are the Mudgee Branch of the Benevolent Society and MHS’s sister school in Fatuberliu, East Timor St Francis of Assisi High School.
Rainbow Day – in it’s 15th year – capped off the students’ fundraising, which began 12 months ago hosting the Farewell Social for the graduating group.
And continued at events including the Country V City Origin, Small Farm Field Days, and school events, to name a few.
The final figure announced was $21,739.95.
MHS vice-captain, Macy Morley, provided the Year 12 charity fundraising wrap up at the Farewell Presentation Assembly on Friday.
“Being given the opportunity to donate not only money but happiness to these deserving causes is a grounding and rewarding experience that I hope lasts a lifetime,” she said.
